When driving home from rehearsal today, the song “I Don’t Want to Be” by Gavin Degraw came on the radio. I’ve heard this song a million times, but for some reason these lyrics really stood out to me this time:
I don’t have to be anyone other
than the birth of two souls in one.
The idea of two souls coming together to create a life really makes me realize just why they call it “love-making.” I look forward to that day in my life where I actually have “love-making” as an option.
But that’s a looooong time and a LOT of commitment from now, so I’ll just stick with good ol’ fucking for the time being.
